Do you ever feel like you can't do something good enough? It may be perfectionism that is the real problem. Perfectionism is actually a hindrance to most achievement. It can be an excuse for not getting started. It causes you to focus on the end-product with little attention paid to the process. Perfectionism is motivated by fear and characterized by avoidance, fear of making a mistake or disappointing yourself or others, or, at its worse, avoidance of doing anything. Have you avoided starting anything recently? Forget the goal for a minute, and just do one small thing toward the goal. See how that feels and be curious about where it might take you.
